I would like to know which is suitable to fill ( A ) in the following passage;
"In addition", or "In summary".

King Khufu was mummified and then placed inside the Great Pyramid. Everything he
would need in the afterlife was provided in his burial chamber: items such as
vessels made of clay, stone, and gold; furniture; and even doll-like
representations of servants. ( A ), his body continued to receive food offerings long after his death.

Cordially,

Best just nothing, because what follows (A) is not a summary of what
preceded it.

"In addition" tells more. "In summary" tells what you just said, in fewer
words.

It might be difficult to do what your last sentence says, after the
entrance to the pyramid was sealed.

'In summary' is wrong here, 'in addition' is superfluous.

On a historical note: those offerings must have been provided
in the temple complex outside the pyramid.
Apart from that, there isn't any evidence that Khufu's mummy,
or any grave gifts have ever been inside the pyramid,
