Luckily the images gave us the context, so I
was able to work it out.
Images? I see no images.
There's none so blind.
Or should that be: There are none so blind?
You supplied neither the images nor a link to the story you were
commenting on, so you gave no clue to what you were talking about.
"Chess Villain" is a book about the late Grand Master Alexander
Alekhine. Presumably though the BBC subtitles referred to Hans
Niemann who has recently been accused of cheating in tournaments.
The only person ever to be suspected of receiving secret
messages by way of an anal sex-toy? Who says chess is boring.
"Alekhine was a world chess champion who dominated the chess
world for over a decade, starting in 1927. He is the only world
chess champion to die while still holding the title.
Alekhine was known as a "grandmonster" of chess, with a reputation
for being arrogant, amoral, and alcoholic.
Alekhine's life included dodging artillery on World War I
battlefields, narrowly escaping a Bolshevik firing squad, and
negotiating with Nazis to escape occupied Paris."
