Are these sentences correct:

1) This animal's behavior is interesting to study.
2) This animal's behavior is interesting for us to study.

3) This animal's behavior is compelling to study.
4) This animal's behavior is compelling for us to study.

The fact that you can study behaviour doesn't make behaviour a study.

3 and 4 are weird and unnatural. 1 ad 2 say the same thing, except that
2 is verbose.
