Which are grammatically correct?

1) and 3) sound natural. 2) would be grammatically correct with a lexical item
that didn’t require the article, so “He says that the theory of parthenogenesis
is flawed” is fine, but it is not fine as you phrase it.

1) and 3) sound natural. 2) would be grammatically correct with a lexical item

I agree, but I'd add that I interpret 1) and 3) differently.
1) says that arguments for a Big Bang are unconvincing
and there may not have been one. 3) probably accepts
that there was one but says the theoretical analysis of
it is flawed.

i would say only 1 is correct and natural.
big bang theory does need some work.
As I understand it, the Big Bang theory says that the turtle is headed
for a place in the universe where a mating will take place.

As I understand it, the Big Bang theory says that the turtle is headed
for a place in the universe where a mating will take place.
The Big Bang will occur when the Turtle all the way down
leaves his position,
