Post by Ben ZimmerIf you Google on <"tony soprano" caldwell>, you'll find many sites
verifying that the house used as the Soprano residence is in North
Caldwell (e.g. <http://nj.com/sopranos/map/ncaldwell.html>). They've
no doubt shot other scenes in other Caldwells.

Thanks for the info, but I want info I can TRUST. I do know that the house
where "The Sopranos" live is, in reality, in North Caldwell. But, this does
not mean the show is supposed to take place there. I've heard it's not, and
it's actually another Caldwell that the show is supposedly taking place in.
But, these websites are all unrealiable. Your second link suggests that the
Soprano house is IN regular Caldwell (something which I know for a fact to be
wrong because I've been to the real house in NORTH Caldwell), and it also
suggests that they live in Caldwell, which is the producer, David Chase's, home
town. Then again, how can that site be trusted since it's already made one
error? I've seen sites that list David Chase's home town as being like all
five of the different Caldwells, as well as Clifton. What gives? Who's right?
How do we know who's right?
Even the Sopranos website (your last link), which gives detailed info about
exactly in which town, from which road, and from what view each picture is
shot, oddly provides ZERO info about the final pic other than "Tony Soprano's
driveway". OK...well where IS the driveway? Maybe none of these people know.
Maybe the blingish North Caldwell-ites of Mountain Avenue are too snooty to
have their street name revealed! Heh!
